I am a fully qualified, BACP-registered person-centred counsellor offering affordable counselling in a safe, compassionate space where you can feel truly heard.
As someone in recovery from addiction, I understand the complexities of mental health and life’s challenges.
I am passionate about walking alongside you, helping you reconnect with your strengths, build confidence, and move forward with clarity, hope, and resilience.
What is the person centred approach
Person-centred counselling, developed by psychologist Carl Rogers, is all about you. It provides a safe and supportive space to talk openly, without fear of judgement. Rather than telling you what to do, I’ll listen with empathy and compassion, helping you explore your thoughts and feelings at your own pace.
This approach is based on the belief that you are the expert in your own life. My role is to support and empower you, so you can reconnect with your strengths, build self-confidence, and move forward in the way that feels right for you.

Addiction counselling offers one-to-one sessions in a safe, private space where you can talk openly about your experiences, triggers, and the root causes of addiction. Together, we explore tailored coping strategies to support your recovery, drawing on approaches such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Motivational Interviewing to help you build healthier habits and lasting change.

Trauma-informed care shifts the question from “What’s wrong with you?” to “What happened to you?” This approach moves beyond treating symptoms to creating a safe, supportive, and compassionate environment where healing can take place. It focuses on empowerment, choice, and understanding, helping individuals who have experienced trauma to rebuild trust, regain control, and move forward with resilience.

Stress management counselling provides a safe, non-judgmental space to explore the root causes of stress and develop healthier coping strategies. Through this process, you can build resilience, improve emotional and physical wellbeing, prevent burnout, and strengthen relationships. Ultimately, it can reduce stress levels and enhance your overall quality of life.

Affirmative Counselling is a type of therapy that provides a safe and affirming space for individuals to explore their gender identity and expression without judgment or harmful stereotypes. It helps clients navigate challenges related to societal biases, gender dysphoria, and minority stress, and supports them in making decisions about their social and medical transition. The focus is on understanding the client's subjective experience within their unique social, family, and developmental context, promoting self-discovery and well-being.

Bereavement counselling provides a safe space to process grief, explore emotions, and begin adapting to life after a loss. Loss can take many forms – the death of a loved one, the end of a relationship, a marriage, or even a job. Counselling offers gentle support and a structured way to navigate these experiences, helping to lay the foundations for long-term healing, resilience, and a greater sense of understanding during the grieving process.

Person-centred counselling can be especially helpful for anxiety and depression. It offers a safe space to explore and understand your emotions, which can lead to greater self-acceptance and release from guilt or insecurity. By gaining insight into the roots of your struggles, you can develop healthier coping strategies and improve your relationships with others. This process of self-understanding builds confidence, resilience, and hope for moving forward.
